The Singular Patagonia
The Singular Patagonia: A Journey into Luxury, History, and Wilderness
Luxury Meets Authentic Exploration
The Singular Philosophy
The Singular Patagonia is not a resort built to impress. It is a place created to connect with nature, with history, with yourself.
Every detail, from the industrial textures of a bygone era to the calm refinement of its suites, tells a story of purpose. This is not a design for the sake of appearance – it is a design with soul.
Here, luxury is quiet. It is the space to breathe after a day in wild landscapes. It is the depth of flavour in a dish made from native herbs. It is the feeling of salt air on your skin as you float in a fjord-facing pool.
The Singular exists for those who want to feel the essence of Patagonia – not packaged, not filtered, but alive and real. For travellers who seek meaning behind the mountains and stories behind the walls.
You do not come to The Singular to consume luxury. You come here to inhabit it.
Location & Setting
Nestled on the shores of the Señoret Channel in Puerto Bories, just minutes from Puerto Natales, The Singular Patagonia offers immediate access to one of the world’s most captivating landscapes.
Located at the edge of the Ultima Esperanza Sound and only 2.5 hours from Punta Arenas by road (after a 3.5-hour flight from Santiago), or via El Calafate from Argentina, this hotel is the ideal gateway to Torres del Paine National Park and Patagonia’s rugged treasures.
A Living Museum: History of The Singular Patagonia
Housed in the restored “Frigorífico Puerto Bories,” a cold storage plant built in 1915 by the Sociedad Explotadora de Tierra del Fuego, The Singular is a monument to Chilean-Argentine heritage.
The factory once processed sheep meat for export to Europe, driving the economic growth of the region.
Today, guests can witness century-old machinery in the on-site museum and explore historical areas like the boiler rooms, docks, and blacksmith workshops.
Declared a National Monument in 1996, The Singular Patagonia blends industrial grandeur with modern design.
Architecture & Rooms
At Singular Patagonia, every room tells a story of contrasts: industrial past and contemporary elegance, raw nature and refined design, remoteness and intimacy.
Imagine waking up to the hush of Patagonia, with sunlight filtering through oversized windows onto dark wood floors and walls of weathered steel. Every element whispers history, yet comforts you with the warmth of hand-stitched textiles and the soft glow of carefully placed lighting.
You might return to your suite from a glacier hike, wind still in your hair, boots covered in dust. Or enter quietly after a peaceful spa session, skin warm from the sauna. In both moments, your room welcomes you like a trusted companion-steady, beautiful, and full of calm.
The architectural language is simple but intentional.
Clean lines, muted tones, and exposed materials respect the building’s past and celebrate the landscape’s vastness. Each room is a cocoon-private yet open to the horizon.

Culinary Excellence
Dining at The Singular Patagonia is more than a service. It is a journey into the deep flavours of the land and sea-bold, honest, and refined.
Every meal begins with the ingredients: native herbs, Patagonian lamb, local seafood, white strawberries, wild rhubarb, and honey from the southern lands. Each element is chosen with care and respect for its origin.
The Singular Restaurant
Under the leadership of Executive Chef Hernán Basso, this space blends French culinary precision with Patagonian emotion.
Expect dishes such as king crab infused with wild herbs, hare stew slow-cooked in local wine, and desserts that reinterpret traditional flavours in unexpected ways.
Every plate is an invitation to discover the essence of the region, elevated to international standards.
Menus shift with the seasons. Wines are carefully paired from across Chile’s diverse valleys.
The fjord outside your window reminds you that this is not a replication of luxury. It is the real thing, rooted in place.
El Asador
Set within a 19th-century façade, El Asador offers a rustic counterpoint to the main restaurant. Here, the experience centres around fire, smoke, and the deep tradition of Patagonian grilling.
Whole cuts of meat, seasonal vegetables, and slow-roasted delicacies are served family-style in an atmosphere that is warm, elemental, and grounded.
Desayunador
Mornings begin slowly here, with views over the Canal Señoret and a breakfast rich in fresh, local flavours.
House-baked bread, artisanal jams, cheeses, and fruit laid out in harmony with the light. A quiet celebration of a new day in Patagonia.
Bar
More than just a bar, this is a gathering place.
An intimate corner for storytelling, reflection, and sharing a glass of Chilean wine or a signature cocktail.
Inspired by local botanicals and global classics, the drink menu is both inventive and familiar.
Singular Spa & Wellness
The Singular Spa is a sanctuary carved from the raw silence of Patagonia.
Spread across 300 square meters, it offers an immersive wellness experience rooted in the power of water, warmth, and stillness.
Step into the heated indoor-outdoor pool, where steam meets the sharp mountain air and your view stretches across the fjord. Move between the sauna, steam room, and thermal shower, letting every breath deepen and every thought slow.
Signature treatments are designed to reconnect body and mind through local, organic products: oils distilled from native herbs, facials using pure ingredients from Chilean nature, and massages that follow the rhythms of the land.
Couples can retreat to a private treatment room, surrounded by quiet and candlelight.
Solo travellers will find deep rest in the hands of skilled therapists trained in both ancient techniques and modern spa therapies.
This is not a spa made to impress. It is a spa made to restore.
